Chinese (Mandarin) Fun! (New class; Start from Sept. 20, 2010)

This class is designed for kindergarteners and early primary school students who start to learn Chinese as total beginners. This class will introduce students to the Chinese language and its culture.

Students will learn to sing some popular English children's songs bilingually (in English & Mandarin), learn the official Chinese phonetic system (pinyin), learn to recognize simplified Chinese characters, and communicate in simple conversations in Mandarin. Children will play a lot of games in Chinese, too. Crafts related to Chinese culture will also be included.

Small group; up to 6 kids. Multi-sensory, multi-media, interactive and systematic teaching method used.

Classes will be taught bilingually (English & Mandarin).

Once a week.

$40/month

($30/month for our full-time day care children)

Wednesday
3:30pm-5:20pm
(110 minutes with a 10-minute break in between)

Ages: 7-10

Chinese (Mandarin) Level 1 continuing (Continuing class; this class has been started on 1/6/2010)

Learning reading, writing in Simplified Chinese. Learning Pinyin, oral conversation, Chinese songs & poems;

Small group; up to 6 kids. Multi-sensory, multi-media, interactive and systematic teaching method used. Classes will be taught bilingually (English & Mandarin).

Once a week.

Parents are responsible to purchase the textbooks & workbooks before classes start.

$80/month

($60/month for our full-time day care children)

Annual Registration fee: there is a non-refundable annual registration fee of $35/student per school year.

No class on the following school breaks and holidays:

Thanksgiving: 11/25/2010~11/27/2011

Winter Break: 12/20~01/1

Mid Winter Break: 02/17~02/21

Spring Break: 03/28~04/2

No class on the following state holidays:

Labor Day (9/6)--Monday—No class. The class will be made up on the Thursday of the same week (@5pm on 9/9).

Veterans Day (11/11)--Thursday, no class

Martin Luther King Jr. Day (1/17)--Monday—No class. The class will be made up on the Thursday of the same week (@5pm on 1/20).

Presidents’ Day (2/21) --Monday-- No class. The class will be made up on the Thursday of the same week (@5pm on 2/24).

Memorial Day (5/30) --Monday-- No class. The class will be made up on the Thursday of the same week (@5pm on 6/2).
