A Day in the Life at Learning Horizon

3:30-3:45pm Pick-up from schools & Snack time

3:45-4:15pm Homework Help

Students will work on their homework and I will assist when needed. If a student does not have homework, they are encouraged to organize their folders/notebooks, study for upcoming quizzes/tests, silently read, work on class projects/reports, or play an educational game.

4:15-4:45pm Play outside/Indoor physical activities

· Students will play some yard games, basketball, badminton, or group games in the fully fenced flat backyard.

· Students will have some indoor physical activities/group games…etc. if it rains.

4:45-5:30pm Enrichment programs

We will provide the following enrichment programs in a small group setting.

Math Enrichment
Critical Thinking skills practice
Mathematical Reasoning skills practice
Chinese Fun!
Reading Program

5:30-6:00pm Choices Time

Students will have the following choices:

· Reading (We participate in King County Library System's after-school reading program. You'll be sure that your child will have piles of books to read in their choice time.)

· Dramatic play/pretend play

· Writing

· Art/Craft

· Music

· Educational games including Math, Science, Spelling, Chess, Typing…etc.
