Congratulations to our
student Nelson Sun again!
2nd place on the state
final!
Nelson
went ahead to challenge the 5th grade Math is Cool Masters
(state final) as a 4th grader.

Nelson won 2nd place on
the statewide 5th grade individual contest of Math is Cool
Masters competition held at Moses Lake High School on May
19, 2012 as a 4th grader. He didn't go to the 4th grade
individual contest, since he could only participate in
either 5th grade or 4th grade competition on the Masters. He
chose to stay with his 5th grade team.
Well done! Nelson!

Nelson's 5th
grade team won 4th place on the Math Is Cool Masters with
one teammate having severe stomach flu on the very day and
wasn't able to participate the team contest. Super job,
boys!

Cool Seattle Regional 4th grade competition held on April
20, 2012 at Mt. Rainier High School. He was advanced to the

Mathmatical Reasoning
NEW
CLASS! (Summer only)
- For ages 5-11
- Class time:
3:15pm to 4:15pm on Monday. (60
minutes)
-
Mathematical Reasoning helps students devise strategies to solve a
wide variety of math problems.
-
This class
emphasizes problem-solving and computation to build the math reasoning
skills necessary for success in higher-level math and math assessments.
This series of books are written to the standards of the National Council of Teachers
of Mathematics. These highly effective activities take students far beyond
drill-and-practice by using step-by-step, discussion-based problem-solving
to develop a conceptual bridge between computation and the reasoning
required for upper-level math. Activities and units spiral slowly,
allowing students to become comfortable with concepts but also challenging
them to continue building their math skills.
-
Students will work on their own level of book.
-
Parents are responsible to purchase books before the class starts.
Small group (up to 6 kids);
Classes are delivered in English.
Tuition: $13 per class

make the connections needed for virtually every kind of intelligence.

Mandarin learning through fun and structured classes.
